Umhlabuyalingana Municipality Manager and Chief Financial Officer suspended

An urgent meeting yesterday(28 October 2009) from 8:00pm to 10:00 pm has been called by the council to discuss the impact of the mismanagement of funds in our local municipality. The outcome of the meeting has been to suspend the Municipality Maanger Rev.S.E. Manqele (Manager) and M. Zungu (CFO) with immediate effect . This is due to the fact relating to financial mismanagement. Mr M.M. Ngubane's name has been raised to act as the Manager till the their case is laid to rest. The two who have been suspended were said to be avoiding to meet the Council for a long time. This infact is likely to yield positive outcomes.
